Fruit production
Victoria produces a significant percentage of Australia's stone fruit output, including peaches (81 per cent), nectarines (66 per cent), apricots (64 per cent), and cherries (40 per cent). Swan Hill, Renmark and the Goulburn Valley (Shepparton and Cobram) represent more than 50% of Australia's summer stonefruit production, while Tasmania produces all the Australian-grown apricots harvested from late December through to February.
